About us
Our aim for this group of boys is very much aligned to the Murieston way. We want our boys to have fun and learn football skills so that they stay in the game when they are older and do not become lost to football. To this end, we aim to make being part of 1999 Blues a life-experience. We organise a lot of events and trips for the boys to encourage team-bonding and give them a balance in their football experience. We also have nights out for the parents too.
Take a look at some of the recent events recorded below.
Forthcoming games
Our first league game of the season is Saturday 6 March at home to Celtic in the Community. Boys should wear their home strip. We are scheduled to play on grass with a 10:00 kick-off. In the event that the grass pitches are called off, we may be switched to the astroturf with a 09:30 kick-off.
Please assume the match is a 10:00 kick-off unless you hear otherwise, and boys should meet at the pavilion at 09:15 (we will meet at 08:45 if the match is switched). We will let you know on Firday evening if the match is switched.
Please make sure that your boy has the correct footwear for both pitches.
Training Night Change
As of Friday 26th February, we will have an additional training night each week. This will focus on match preparation and will be from 17:30 - 19:00. The training will take place on the brand new 3G astro-turf facility immediately behind the pavilion (small astro-turf and former tennis courts).

Recent Events:
Presentation Evening November 2009
We enjoyed a great presentation day on Sunday 29 November at Deer Park. The boys and families played 10 pin bowling followed by lunch and a wonderful presentation. Many thanks to Cameron MacDonald from Livingston FC who presented all the awards on the day. It is great for the boys to see a young, local talent making good progress in the game.
The main awards were:
Player of The Year Connel Gibson
Players' Player of The Year Cameron Donaldson
Most Improved Player Rhys Stuart
Team Person Cameron Smith
Christmas Trip 2009
The boys had a fantastic time on their Christmas trip this year.
We travelled by train to Newcastle where we were given a private tour of St James' Park by Sue. We then hot-footed it across to Sunderland to watch the Sunderland V Arsenal game before heading home on the train.
The boys (and accompanying officials) had a great time, singing our way along and competing with the Arsenal and Sunderland fans, and amusing our fellow train passengers with renditions of our own football songs and good humour.
A couple of photos from the trip are below.
2 April - 5 April 2010 - Preston M&L Easter Cup
We are planning to attend the Preston Festival over the Easter weekend in 2010. On this occasion we will be travelling as a squad unit (just players and officials) and will not be arranging any travel or accomodation for family members. Families are very welcome to make their own arrangements to attend games during the festival.
Craig Tara Festival April 2009
Our second visit to the festival at Ayr was a great success. The boys (and parents) thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It's great to see the boys gelling as a team and unit. The behaviour of our boys throughout the whole weekend was absolutely fantastic - they were a great credit to themselves, their parents and the club, wearing and representing the Murieston badge with pride.
Pictures of the event are at the foot of the page.

May Festival 2009
On our first day at the festival, everyone in our team (parents and siblings included) had to wear a hair band (ala Fernando Torres) for a bit of fun. The style is modelled below (third photo) by our hippy throwback supporter.

Our three primary contacts are pictured below in their guise as the 'three UNwise monkeys'!.jpg)
